My Mom and grandmothers rock. They rock hard. A material gift will never fully represent the intense love, appreciation, and admiration I have for them, but I can still get pretty close. Here are some gifts for the mothers in your life.

A museum date

This is a wonderful gift because it’s a shared experience. Even if your tastes differ, there is something for everyone to love within the walls of a good museum. It’s a no-fuss family outing — no little siblings can bicker while looking at art!

A class

Maybe you’re feeling inspired after your museum day, and an art class is a great way to expand or start your skills. Local art centers, community colleges, and libraries are great ways to find a perfect class. Ceramics, glass blowing, sewing, musical instruments, dance, painting, the possibilities are endless. Even if whatever you try is not your thing, you still gained the joy of doing something with your mom.

A hobby

Along the same vein as a structured class, pick up a hobby together! I am going to start practicing Ikebana courtesy of YouTube University, and my mother (unbeknownst to her) will join me.
